He was chosen as a replacement for King Darkoan by Breager so that the real Darkoan didn't impede on his plans.
When Firebrand arrived, Malgor told him that nothing was wrong, and that he should go back to Euteria, after Firebrand rejected the offer, Malgor revealed himself they fought and he lost. Malgor then recognized Firebrand as The Red Blaze before dying
